Dr. Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanics and Engineering Science at Peking University. He obtained his BS in Engineering Mechanics in 2014 and his PhD in Solid Mechanics in 2019, both from Tsinghua University. From 2019 to 2022, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Harvard University. He joined Peking University as an assistant professor in 2023. Dr. Li primarily focuses on the research of wave mechanics and imaging, as well as the mechanics of intelligent manufacturing of active materials/structures. He has published over 40 academic papers in journals such as J Mech Phys Solids, Nat Commun, Sci Adv, IEEE T Med Imaging, and Med Image Anal. He holds 22 Chinese patents and 2 software copyrights, with 7 patents successfully commercialized. He has received numerous honors, including the Special Scholarship of Tsinghua University (awarded to 10 students annually) and the Nomination Award for Excellent Doctoral Dissertation by the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. He also serves as a youth committee member of the Biomechanics Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, a guest editor for Wave Motion, and a youth editorial board member for Sci China: Phys Mech Astron and Int J Smart Nano Mat.
